I've had some medical issues lately and yesterday evening I found out my grandmother had passed away. So, as you can imagine, I'd really like to escape reality asap. I'm really under the weather at the moment, and I'll have a memorial to attend within the next week - and the holiday weekend to deal with, but by god, I want to play.
I fixed up the journals so they were stark white and I'll be replying to posts once I stop feel so nauseated.

Rob and I have been swamped to death the last few days and it's killing me not to be able to reply to the posts that are up and to put up new ones. We found a place that's up for rent this morning and have been trying to pack some junk up today, and we'll find out if we get it by tomorrow morning, so there will either be a few more days of packing and trip-making or we'll be open for business. Heads up either way. :) Thanks guys. :D

So first off, I wanted to ask for an opinion dump.
As it is now, I have set things up so that time within the game moves as we need it to. For example, I posted the thread to open the game with a set date, and said that threads can happen on (or near) and before that date. So, within a few days after and for infinity behind (to allow for backdates).
As of now, the latest time we've gotten to in the game is April 7th.
I wanted to ask if you all preferred we continue this way, and change times when the plot has been completed and there is more to be written, or if we should set things up to be one of two other ways:
1) I post an OOC telling when we're going to be switching on a regular basis - giving a warning to wrap things up, and posting the a thread for the next chapter in time... (which is similar to our current setup, but a bit more informative and structured) or
2) We go by the calender and if things get skipped over, we can backdated them. For example, today is the 23rd of April (2008), so any thread posted today would happen on this day in 2009. A real-life, moving timeline for the game.
So, thoughts?
Also, we're in need of a new Iceman, as there were some complications with Drew and I asked him to leave after a long conversation. I'm not in the habit of airing my dirty laundry in public, but since he seems to have a slanderous way about him, I'm going to link to the conversation and if you don't care, you don't have to go see, but I really don't like the thought of someone sneaking around feeding lies to my fellow players and causing even more problems than there might have been. Conversation with Drew.

Hello, I'm Marie, and well, trying out something different. I've been in general RPs for sometime and saw this one and decided to give the erotic one a whirl.
Meggan is decidedly less powerful than her 616 verison, and I've adaptd her so she doesn't make the feminist in me cry. Meggan is sweet and warm, sensual but more often motherly. She's a bit more down to Earth by choice and by connection via her powers. While she isn't an expert fighter or teacher, Meggan is rather happy being the head grounds keeper though she wants to try a more offensive role in the future with the X-Men.
All Meggan asks is if kids have sex on her lawn, please do it before she fertilizes. :D

Hello. I too see a few familiar faces and that both scares me and makes me very happy at the same time. A lot can change in a year. :)
So, yeah. My name is Mel and I bring you Kevin Ford, aka Wither. Now, I know it might seem weird that I'm bringing in a mutant who can't touch people upon fear of death to a smut game, but there are a few plots that I hope we can go through so that he can touch people and also there are people that are not made of organic material that he can touch.
Also, if someone wanted to pick up a Mercury, I would give my first born and soul to them in a pretty little box with a bow. XD
Aaand there's always the over the clothes gropage that we all love.
Anyway, that's mah story. My aim is Octothingy. Feel free to give me a buzz.

So - we have an opening. Here it is. I've also posted an entry to ![[info]](https://www.insanejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) modacious on how to label threads.
As for the main plot, I decided to go with the Mutant Registration Act.
Government deviousness can follow, but this is a good start, I think. Perhaps when individuals go to register, they're given some sort of drug or prescription or something fun like that. We can add in little bits of fun as things go.
And I think mutant hate groups could play a part as well, either sooner or later. Whenever someone gets antsy, drop me a line and we can work 'em in.
But, so far as the timeline goes, feel free to post anytime on or before the date of the only IC thread up so far. The timeline that was posted is moderately inaccurate, so far as the year goes. We're working in April of 2009 for this game.
Feel free to post up new-thread responses to the MRA itself, or the fact that the Professor is off to see the wizard or anything in general.

Hey guys. I just wanted to say welcome, once again, and apologize for my belatedness in starting the game. A combination of IJ's crash, RL fun and getting my previously-established RPG back to life kept me from writing up any sort of opening for the game. I'm still thinking over the plot possibilities. Thanks for the feedback, those who gave it. More is always welcome. I'll be around all day tomorrow for IM - hopefully. My internet connection is busted, so things are crappy in that department too - Y!IM and AIM don't stay logged in, they just drive my f-lists nuts by popping me in and out every few minutes. So I've been avoiding them altogether. But, since it sucks living like this, I won't - so the issue should be remedied asap. Modem, 'netcard, Verizon. Something isn't doing its job. Heh. I'll figure it out. Peace, guys. Look for an opening asap. I'd love to see some more ladies around here. No offense, but we're looking at playing with a cast of all males who want to boink each other. While that'd be fine - it seems a little unrealistic. So, more females (either preference) and more het males. That's what I'll be poking around after. :D

Before we get seriously going, I just wanted to mention a few things. First of all, I know what it's like to run a game and choose the plot and moderate it. So, that isn't the issue. What I'd like to know is what you all would like before something gets set in stone (though, we've always got options, haven't we? XD ).
Secondly, I hate being thought of as a mod. So, aside from approving applications and keeping lists up to date, I like to act as a regular member as much as possible. So please don't think of me as some bossy e-mail-sending, IM-nagging wench who wants to be the cock of the walk. I just want to hang out with you guys and keep stuff rolling. Nazi!mods can suck it. So, if you have ideas or suggestions, don't be afraid to let me know. Make the game yours. If you have modly thoughts or things about the plot - anything, I'm all ears and I don't offend easy. And for those of you who are thinking about taking on more characters in the future, please remember that you don't have to APPLY for them. Let me know who you'd like and fill out their profile. If there's something that seems off, I'll let you know. But I just have to get a heads up so I can add them in and take them from the WANTED lists, etc. So, stick a comment on the holds page or send an e-mail.
My thoughts for the general plot that would be effecting all characters at least to some degree: (most of these have been done, but here are a few twists)
THE LEGACY VIRUS as a sexually transmitted disease.
THE CURE is infused with a drug meant to subdue the sexual needs of mutants.
THE SENTINELS are brought into play.
THE MUTANT REGISTRATION ACT is brought back for vote after the events at Alkali Lake and includes marriage restrictions for mutants.
